Im Rahmen der Projektförderung unterstützt die Stiftung Rheinland-Pfalz für Kultur herausragende Kunst und Kulturprojekte mit überregionaler Bedeutung in Rheinland-Pfalz. Gefördert werden Vorhaben, die sich durch künstlerische Qualität, gesellschaftliche Relevanz und ein prägnantes inhaltliches Profil auszeichnen. Anträge können in den Bereichen Bildende Kunst, Darstellende Kunst, Musik, Film, Literatur, Soziokultur sowie für spartenübergreifende Projekte gestellt werden. Darüber hinaus begleitet die Stiftung kulturelle Initiativen, die den Austausch, die Sichtbarkeit und die Weiterentwicklung der Kulturlandschaft in Rheinland-Pfalz stärken. Über die Vergabe der Fördermittel entscheiden unabhängige Fachgremien auf Grundlage qualitativer Kriterien.
